ids 08: orange is the new...

While waiting for Paige to join me at the IDS 08 opening party last night, I wandered around looking for wine tastings and design trends. Everyone knows it only takes three to make a trend, and the third time I spied a piece of orange furniture, it was nothing if not a charm. I adore this dresser. (Click for big, it's worth it.)

Also, I'm happy to see that all those hours I spent digging for Hermès-orange scarves (sadly, no actual Hermès) in Kensington Market were not in vain. Neither was my decision to not actually wear said scarves, but rather to have them made into silky, graphic throw pillows that match the oranges in my side table, and my little chairs, and even my garbage can. Ahhh. It's so nice out here, ahead of the curve...
